Domestic household items Certificate:

IIn case of definitive return to Portugal , to the effect of applying for the exemption of custom duties in Portugal on personal belongings (used items part of the domestic household that will not represent by its nature or quantity an intention of commercial profit ) , you are kindly asked to provide to this Consulate, prior to the date of your departure:

• A list of personal belongings specifying all used articles of your household ( which were in use for more than 6 months) numbered and whenever possible with mention to their serial numbers, make and model. A declaration with full personal identification, date in which you started to reside in Australia/New Zealand, and intended time for your definitive return to Portugal ( with documental proof ), complete address and phone number where in future you may be contacted by the Portuguese Customs and Taxation Office to the check the basis for granting the exemption.
